SUCCESS STORIES

SOPHIE CATES

Attending high school together in Newburyport, Massachusetts, Sophie Cates and Keeva Coppinger came to be close friends as they both found out they wanted to break through to the music industry. Sophie was releasing originals on bandcamp at the time, and Keeva saw the opportunity to begin her career in A&R and make an introduction to Christopher Plante, founder of CP Pro Audio who specializes in artist development. Since then, Plante has produced songs Darling Don’t and Drinking Games, which now has over 13+ million streams. After that, Sophie went on to release more singles, including her debut EP, “yikes!”. Sophie then went on to open for Omar Apollo for his North American tour The Speed of Sound in 2019, and signed with RCA Records.
